Her sister Pippa Middleton ? who lately brought out a book on party planning ? is in preparation for the? function, according to a recent news report.
Whilst a baby shower is a playful event that virtually every US mum-to-be expects, it?s usually not a custom in royal families. Neither Queen Elizabeth nor Queen Victoria had any kind of baby shower for their new born babies, but the Duchess of Cambridge isn?t always of the same mind as other royals.

?It was her sister Pippa?s idea,? a pal of Kate?s told OK! magazine. And even while it is not a time-honoured occasion for royals, or even in the UK, the future mum is trusting her husband Prince William?s ?granny? makes an show!
?Although it?s all going to be really laid-back and entertaining, Kate is hoping the queen might drop in, as the two are unusually close. They appear to have a good bond and truly enjoy each other?s companionship. As this is set to be a original event for royals, Kate would relish the queen being involved.?

?Pippa is looking after the decorations,? the insider adds. ?Wine and beer will be on hand ? not that the Duchess will be imbibing, naturally.
